Get to know the area
A neighbourhood you can explore on foot.
The waterfront is the starting point, but there is much more to Lower Lonsdale than the view. Lonsdale Quay, restaurants, local cafés and the Spirit Trail create a neighbourhood with places to go throughout the day.
Choosing the right home
You’ll find a mix of apartment buildings and other housing styles in and around the area. Building age, strata documents, floor plan, street exposure and outdoor space all deserve a closer look before you decide.
A practical perspective
As a Registered Interior Designer, I bring nearly 40 years of design, construction and renovation experience. When we look at a property together, I can help you ask useful questions about its layout and renovation potential, alongside the real-estate details.

Beyond the waterfront
Trails, bikes and mountain days.
The Spirit Trail connects waterfront destinations, including Lonsdale Quay, The Shipyards and Moodyville. It gives you a way to build walking and cycling into everyday life.
For a wider outing, explore the North Shore trail network, Mosquito Creek and Inter River Bike Park. Grouse Mountain and Cypress Mountain offer mountain recreation and winter skiing within driving reach. They are separate destinations, rather than walkable neighbourhood amenities.

Before you choose Lower Lonsdale.
Can I commute to downtown Vancouver by SeaBus?
Yes. The SeaBus connects Lonsdale Quay and Waterfront Station. Your total commute depends on where you live, the walk or bus to the terminal and your destination downtown. Use TransLink to check the full journey.
Are the mountains and trails within walking distance?
The Spirit Trail and waterfront destinations are accessible within the area. Grouse and Cypress are separate mountain destinations reached by car or other transport. Check the route from each property rather than relying on one neighbourhood-wide travel time.
How do I compare apartment buildings?
Look beyond size and finishes. Review strata documents, maintenance history, fees and any restrictions relevant to your plans, alongside the layout and location. I can help you organize the questions to ask.
Does the neighbourhood guide confirm school catchments?
No. It lists school options to investigate. Confirm catchments using the exact property address and check admission or program eligibility with the relevant school authority.
